This past Sunday, the Tampa Bay Lightning won a game against the Chicago Blackhawks. But, what caught our attention is the little reunion that happened before the game. Alex Chiasson played a more obscure, yet still useful, role with the Washington Capitals last year when they won the Stanley Cup Rings. Unfortunately, his contract didn’t get renews by the Caps and he ended up signing with the Edmonton Oilers. Yesterday, on October 1st, the Washington Stanley Cup rings has been unveiled! Once again, the company Jostens are the one behind this amazing creation. This impressive ring is composed of 7 sapphires, 20 rubies, a little more than 250 diamonds and let’s not forget yellow and white gold. The year 1998 gave us the 105th Stanley Cup championship. It was the Capitals’ first time in the finals since the franchise’s NHL debut in 1974 but the lost to the Red Wings who won the series for the second year in a row.
